The British Eventing Support Trust
The British Eventing
Support Trust supports British Eventing competing members when they need it
most.
From physical injury
to mental health challenges and financial pressure, the Trust provides
practical advice and help to riders who compete, ensuring they are not facing
difficult moments alone. Alongside this, the charity works closely with the
sport of eventing to improve safety standards, fund research, and support
initiatives that protect both riders and horses, now and in the future.
The British Eventing Support Trust was founded in 2021 and is a registered charity in England and Wales (No: 1157610).

info@besupporttrust.org.uk
If you are applying following an
accident, it must be equestrian-related (this includes incidents that occur
while competing, training, riding at home or handling horses on the ground) and
must have taken place within the past 12 months.
To begin the process, the Trust will provide you with an application form, along with the Trust’s terms of engagement, and guide you through what is required. The terms of engagement document is also available on the Trust’s website, and the team is happy to answer any questions you have.
Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed in total confidence. Where medical support is required, information is assessed by the Trust’s medical advisors before being considered by the Trustees, who make a decision based on your individual circumstances. After that, you will be informed of the outcome in writing.
All personal information is treated with strict confidentiality. Medical details are shared only with the Trust’s medical advisors, and financial information is limited to the Trustees involved in your case.
